MAXALESSANDRINI

ART, MUSIC AND OTHER NICE THINGS

From the first official appearance of Tommy & Oscar in the CD-ROM “The Phantom of the Theater” (1995), until February 2000, Max Alessandrini‘s name consistently appeared alongside Iginio Straffi (CEO of Rainbow Spa) in the credits of the TV series, CD-ROMs, and the official website.

However, starting in February 2000, Rainbow Spa suddenly removed Alessandrini’s name from all publications, claiming that Tommy & Oscar were solely created by Straffi.

This contradicted previous statements.

That same year, Alessandrini initiated legal action against Rainbow Spa to assert his authorship of the concept and characters.

In July 2008, the trial concluded with a ruling in Alessandrini’s favor, granting him financial compensation.

Proving his authorship was straightforward, as Rainbow had previously credited him in various media, including TV series credits, CD-ROMs, their official website, catalogs, and even in interviews given by Straffi.
